The Workforce Development Board of Oswego County
The Oswego County workforce development system encompasses organizations and activities that prepare people for employment, help workers advance in their careers, and ensure a skilled workforce.
Stakeholders include employers, public workforce agencies, community colleges, community-based organizations, state and local governments, unions and trade associations, and philanthropic organizations. Local systems are also influenced by state and federal directives.
The Oswego County Workforce Development Board is comprised of system stakeholders and its role is to coordinate, facilitate and promote customer satisfaction and quality in the workforce development system. Additionally, it sets local workforce development policy, oversees the operations of local One-Stop-Career Center, ensures quality of services to customers, and evaluates overall performance.
